Here are a few pictures of the new skatepark in Aberdeen.

War of the Thistles will be taking place this year on the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of April.

This is going to be one of the biggest events of the year and attendance is cumpulsory!

The first day will take place at Transition Extreme skatepark in Aberdeen, the second day will take place at Unit 23 Skatepark in Dumbarton.

It is £10 a day entrance fee. There are cash prizes for sponsored riders and amateur events with lots of product to be won.

It'll also be the UK leg of the ES game of SKATE competition too.

After consitent demand, SkateboardScotland War of the Thistles will be running this year on the 21/22nd of April 2007.

The format for each of the days will be similar the War of the Roses event that took place in October. This will consist of best trick/runs in various areas of the park with the esteemed MC Bob Sanderson on the mic.

There will be cash prizes for sponsored riders and skate product prizes for un-sponsored riders.

The date coincides with the opening of the new Aberdeen indoor skatepark http://www.transition-extreme.com

This event will be the first event ever held at this new park.
