Finally, after two years of Stockwell Skatepark, London being practically unusable due to inability to lay a smooth surface by the contractors we have a reason to return!

Jeremy Donaldson, the man behind the bowl at Cantelowes has  once again thrown his volutary time into reworking areas of the park and with the Stockwell Locals they've been getting  his once local (I say once local, as most of the users disappeared after the fiasco in late 2005 ) park back up onto it's feet. Build is due to commence on Wednesday 8th August.

Work will take approximately three months.

Please do not use the Skatepark during this period and please keep children away from the construction site.

WARNING: Using the Skatepark while the concrete is curing will damage the surface.

For more information on the situation as it stood at the completion of the last work, click here for the news pice written by the Stockwell Skatepark Users Group which appeared in Sidewalk Magazine Issue 112.
